Tacoronte is a municipality of Tenerife , the largest of the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa. It is located on the northern edge of the island. The town is mostly rural, with much of its land area taken up by farm land. There are small urban areas in the lower elevations of the town. Tacoronte is gradually moving to a business and tourism type of economy.
