Restaurants

Restaurants like those found in Las Americas range from familiar fast food outlets to excellent fine dining. Those with an adventurous palate can pick from a veritable array of international cuisine styles every night.

For those who prefer good old meat-and-two-veggie type dishes, British standard fare is available on every corner and British pub grub abounds. French, Flemish and German visitors are also very well catered to.

Only minutes from Las Americas is the lovely La Estancia , voted as one of the best restaurants in 2003. There Tenerife visitors can enjoy an excellent a la carte menu, Moroccan, French and Bastille Day theme nights.

Another popular restaurant is Claret's in Chayofa which is elegantly housed in an old Canarian farmhouse and a quick 15-minute taxi ride from the center of Las Americas .

Other ideas for eating out in Las Americas:

Churrasqueria Rodeo

Urbanizacion Playa Fañabe, 35. Playa de las Americas Tel: 922 713 255

For those with hearty appetites for red meat, Rodeo is the place to be. One is given both a red card and green card on entering the restaurant. Display the green card and slivers of juicy meat just keep on coming.

When one is sufficiently loaded one shows the red card to signal his/her submission. Vegetarians are also welcome as the restaurant boasts a huge salad bar.

The King and I Thai Restaurant Local 12b, Garden City San Eugenio Playa de Las Americas Tel: 922 75 03 50

For those with a hankering for Thai dishes like Pat See Yoo, Kao Pat Gai and Pok Pok Salad as well as for all things Thailand, this restaurant may be up your alley.
