Arico is a town in the southeastern part of Tenerife. It extends for 45.1 square kilometers (0.4 square miles) from the mountainous interior to the beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. Arico is on a valley setting with an estimated population of 6,928.
It is linked with the superhighway interchange and is also linked with the old highway linking Arona and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Its economy is comprised of tourism and some agriculture. The urban area and some farmlands dominate the coastline and valley areas, while the mountains occupy most of the municipality and the southeast.
