A municipality in the northwestern part of Tenerife it is located about 70 km ESW of the island's capital, NW of Los Cristianos and Las Américas of Arona and about 60 km NW of the Reina Sofia airport.
Los Silos has a population of 5,545 per 2003 figures and its population density stands at 228.85/km². It occupies an area of 24.23 km² and its elevation stands at 200 m. Los Silos is linked north of the superhighway. The farmlands are in the valley areas and within the Atlantic; the hills are around the area and the mountains to the south.
Various businesses, tourism and agriculture dominate the main economy until the 90s when agriculture was the dominant industry in Los Silos. Majority of the population are thus rural folks.
