It is popular belief that the best restaurants in the Canary Islands can be found in Puerto de la Cruz , where the food is excellent and the prices surprisingly affordable.
Hotels usually serve breakfasts as part of the accommodation, while most apartments do not. Hotel breakfasts are quite satisfactory, but the best breakfast is said to be that served at the Puerto Playa hotel. Other hotels serving great breakfasts are Magec, San Borondon, and Botanico. Aside from hotels, the many bars and cafes serve breakfasts, too, and often have better variety and/or better prices. Visitors should also try English breakfasts served at any of the many English pubs in the town. Lunch and dinner are also served at all pubs, cafes, bars, and restaurants. A favorite diner among foreigners and locals is Maggie's at Avenida Blass Perez Conzales. The menus are varied, making eating out in Puerto de la Cruz a real adventure for the food lovers.
