Parque Etnografico Piramides de Guimar
The Guimar Pyramids Etnographic Park is Guimar's unique attraction, and among the most interesting and peculiar in the world. This site is of great archaeological importance, constantly being studied and analyzed by archaeologists from all over the world. The park's namesake features are the six stepped pyramids which all remain a mystery to this day. They bear a similarity to the pyramids built by and Aztec and Maya peoples of Mexico, but all other aspects such as origin, age, or purpose remain unexplained.
The park has modern facilities such as the Chacona Museum with its exhibits of historical items. Elsewhere in the park, there are gardens filled with the endemic plant species of Tenerife.
